History
Swann’s long history dates back more than a century to 1895, when T.E. Swann began selling furniture on the downtown square in Tyler, Texas.
At the young age of 13, T.E. learned the retail trade while apprenticing at a pharmacy in Tyler for .25 cents a week to support his family after his father’s passing.
Later T.E. struck out on his own to open Swann Furniture Company. Today Swann’s Furniture & Design is the oldest family owned and operated business in East Texas. Five generations and over a century later, the Swann family is still committed to upholding a long tradition of design, quality and service.
